Ngramble does not require an account. Your current game, compact completed-game summaries, results, streak and preferences are stored locally on your device.

Anonymous usage data

Anonymous usage data is collected by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings without affecting gameplay.

When enabled, the daily game sends the puzzle number, turn type, letter-feedback pattern, selected reveal position and broad timings to Ngramble’s first-party event endpoint.

Entering Practice sends an anonymous practice-session count, and starting a practice challenge sends a practice-game count. Practice answers, guesses, reveals and results are not sent.

These events are stored in Ngramble’s hosted analytics database so we can compare puzzle difficulty, completion, reveal use and interface friction.

We do not send partial input, invalid submitted text, valid answer guesses, your name, an email address or a cross-day player identifier. The random session identifier resets for each daily puzzle or short Practice visit.

If you turn anonymous usage data off during a recorded game, Ngramble may send one final anonymous withdrawal marker before stopping. This prevents an incomplete event trail from being mistaken for a player abandoning the puzzle. The marker contains no additional gameplay or identity information.

Hosting information

Like any website host, our hosting provider processes ordinary connection information to deliver the site safely and measure reliability. Ngramble uses aggregate hosting and performance statistics.

Your choices

You can turn anonymous usage data off or on at any time in Settings. Clearing this site’s browser data removes your local games, detailed record history and preferences.
